- 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1 cup frozen corn
Instructions
- Step 1: In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
- Step 2: In a slow cooker, layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
- Step 3: Add the chopped onion and browned ground beef on top of the potatoes.
- Step 4: In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the layers in the slow cooker.
- Step 5: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
- Step 6: If using, add the frozen corn on top.
- Step 7: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until potatoes are tender.
- Step 8: Serve hot and enjoy!
