Description

A hearty and comforting potato casserole made in a slow cooker, perfect for easy family dinners with layers of potatoes, ground beef, cheese, and spices.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1 cup frozen corn

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Step 2: In a slow cooker, layer the sliced potatoes at the bottom.
  3. Step 3: Add the chopped onion and browned ground beef on top of the potatoes.
  4. Step 4: In a separate bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour this mixture over the layers in the slow cooker.
  5. Step 5: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  6. Step 6: If using, add the frozen corn on top.
  7. Step 7: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until potatoes are tender.
  8. Step 8: Serve hot and enjoy!
