Description

A hearty, easy-to-make lasagna using sausage, peppers, and ravioli in a slow cooker for a flavorful family meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 package (25 oz) frozen ravioli
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add sliced bell peppers, onion, and garlic to the skillet; cook until softened.
  3. Layer the bottom of the slow cooker with marinara sauce.
  4. Add a layer of frozen ravioli, then the sausage and vegetable mixture, and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  5. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, ending with cheese on top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until ravioli is tender.
  7. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, use hot Italian sausage. This recipe can be prepared ahead and refrigerated overnight before cooking.
