Description

A hearty dish featuring tender beef chops smothered in a rich gravy, served with creamy mashed potatoes and caramelized roasted carrots.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs beef chops
  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 lb carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour for gravy

Instructions

  1. Season beef chops with salt and pepper, then sear in a pan with olive oil until browned.
  2. Remove chops and in the same pan, sautรฉ onions and garlic until soft.
  3. Add flour to make a roux, then slowly stir in beef broth to create gravy.
  4. Return chops to the pan and simmer for 30 minutes until tender.
  5. Boil potatoes until soft, then mash with butter and milk for creamy texture.
  6. Toss carrots in oil, salt, and pepper, then roast in the oven at 400ยฐF for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Serve chops smothered in gravy, with mashed potatoes and roasted carrots on the side.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use homemade beef broth. Ensure chops are fully cooked to avoid any food safety issues.
