This hearty casserole combines ground beef, noodles, and a creamy sour cream sauce for a comforting family meal that’s easy to prepare.

- 1 pound ground beef
 - 1 medium onion, chopped
 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
 - 1/2 cup sour cream
 - 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
 - 8 ounces wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
 - Salt and ground black pepper to taste
 
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
 - Cook beef, onion, and garlic in a large skillet over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain excess fat.
 - Stir in the condensed soup, sour cream, and shredded cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer until the cheese is melted.
 - Toss the cooked noodles with the beef mixture and transfer to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
 - Bake covered for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
 
Notes
You can use cooked leftover beef instead of ground beef. For a vegetarian version, substitute with lentils or mushrooms.
