- 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
- Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
- Stir in the unsalted butter until melted, then remove from heat.
- Spoon the garlic cream sauce over the steaks and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
Pair with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal. For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
