Description

Juicy steak seared to perfection and topped with a creamy garlic sauce made from garlic, cream, and broth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
  5. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and beef broth, stirring to combine.
  7. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  8. Stir in the unsalted butter until melted, then remove from heat.
  9. Spoon the garlic cream sauce over the steaks and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Pair with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal. For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
