Description

Juicy pork meatballs simmered in a sweet and spicy Thai-inspired sauce, perfect for appetizers or meals served with rice.


Ingredients

  • For the Meatballs:
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • For the Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground pork, fish sauce, garlic, ginger, egg, and breadcrumbs. Form into 1-inch balls.
  3. Place meatballs on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  4. In a saucepan, combine sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Toss cooked meatballs in the sauce until coated.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.

Notes

Serve with steamed rice or as appetizers. Adjust spice level by modifying red pepper flakes.
