Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-10 minutes, then let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. While the dough rises, prepare the filling by mixing cream cheese, powdered sugar, and chopped strawberries.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into donut shapes, then let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  6. Fry the donuts in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Once cooled, pipe the cheesecake filling into the center of each donut.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh strawberries and serve warm. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
