Description

This indulgent breakfast features thick slices of bread stuffed with a creamy cheesecake filling and fresh strawberries, then dipped in egg mixture and grilled to golden perfection.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices of thick bread
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Butter for grilling
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in sliced strawberries.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture on 4 slices of bread and top with the remaining slices to make sandwiches.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and cinnamon.
  4. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
  5. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook each sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes
