- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400Β°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each heart.
- Top with a teaspoon of strawberry jam and sliced strawberries.
- Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a border, then brush with egg wash.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool before serving.
