- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets. Make an indentation in the center of each ball with your thumb.
- Fill each indentation with about 1/2 teaspoon of strawberry jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire racks.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality strawberry jam. Cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
