- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup strawberry jam
- Chocolate kisses for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
- Remove from oven and immediately press a chocolate kiss into the center of each cookie, then top with a dollop of strawberry jam.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For a twist, use different flavored jams.
