Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped pecans.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a nuttier flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the batter. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
