Description

A flavorful dish combining sweet and spicy shrimp and wings, served with aromatic yellow rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound chicken wings
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix honey, hot sauce, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add shrimp and chicken wings to the marinade and let sit for 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate pot, cook rice with turmeric and water according to package instructions.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the marinated wings until crispy, about 10 minutes per side.
  5. In the same pan, add garlic and onion, then cook the shrimp until pink, about 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the shrimp and wings over the yellow rice.

Notes

For extra heat, add more hot sauce to the marinade. Pairs well with a side salad.
