Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add diced onion, garlic, and red bell pepper; sautΓ© for 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in chili flakes, honey, and soy sauce.
  5. Add orzo and chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with cilantro before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the chili flakes. Ensure the honey is pure for the best flavor.
