Description

A simple and flavorful recipe for tender cube steak cooked in a crockpot with creamy mushroom sauce.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds cube steak
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the cube steak in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, onion soup mix, and beef broth until well combined.
  3. Pour the soup mixture over the cube steak in the crockpot.
  4. Add the sliced onion on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the steak is tender.
  6. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

For extra tenderness, you can dredge the steak in flour before adding to the crockpot. Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
