A flavorful Thai-inspired dish featuring stir-fried beef with basil, wrapped in fresh rolls.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 shallots, thinly sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
- 8 rice paper wrappers
- Lettuce leaves for wrapping
Instructions
- Heat oil in a wok over high heat.
- Add garlic and shallots, stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in bell pepper, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and chili flakes.
- Add Thai basil leaves and cook until wilted.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Dip rice paper wrappers in warm water to soften.
- Place lettuce, beef mixture, and other fillings in the center of each wrapper.
- Roll tightly and serve immediately.
Notes
For a spicier version, increase the chili flakes. Serve with a side of dipping sauce.
