Tropical Jerk Pork Chops

Description

A spicy and tropical twist on pork chops with jerk seasoning and fresh fruits.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bone-in pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons jerk seasoning
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix jerk seasoning, pineapple juice, salt, and pepper to create a marinade.
  2. Place pork chops in the marinade and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Grill pork chops for 5-7 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 145Β°F.
  5. In the last few minutes, add mango slices and bell pepper to the grill for charring.
  6. Remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve topped with green onions and cilantro.

Notes

For a spicier version, add extra chili flakes to the marinade. Pairs well with coconut rice.
