Description

A quick and creamy Turkish breakfast dish featuring poached eggs on garlic yogurt, drizzled with spiced butter.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon Aleppo pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh dill for garnish
  • Crusty bread for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Spread on plates and set aside.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a simmer, add vinegar. Poach eggs for 3-4 minutes.
  3. In a pan, melt butter and stir in paprika and Aleppo pepper until fragrant.
  4. Place poached eggs on the yogurt mixture and drizzle with spiced butter.
  5. Garnish with fresh dill and serve with crusty bread.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the Aleppo pepper. Ensure eggs are fresh for perfect poaching.
