- 6 cups peeled and sliced apples
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the apples, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon.
- Pour into a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, stir together the flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add egg, milk, and melted butter; mix until smooth.
- Pour over the apples.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the best flavor.
