A dreamy and creamy homemade treat made with vanilla custard layers.
Ingredients

- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Graham crackers for base
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat milk and cream over medium heat until simmering.
- In a bowl, whisk egg yolks, sugar, and cornstarch until smooth.
- Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Layer graham crackers in a baking dish and pour the custard over them.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
