Description

These pretzel bites are warm, gooey, and cheesy – the ultimate snack!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Coarse salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture and knead until a dough forms.
  3. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C).
  5. Roll dough into bite-sized pieces and boil in a mixture of baking soda and water for 30 seconds.
  6. Place on a baking sheet, top with shredded cheese, and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  7. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse salt before serving.

Notes
