Description

A quick and flavorful wonton soup perfect for weeknights, featuring homemade wontons in a savory broth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 package wonton wrappers
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 slices ginger
  • 1 cup chopped bok choy

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions until well combined.
  2. Place a spoonful of the pork mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Fold and seal the wrappers to form wontons.
  3. In a large pot, bring chicken broth and ginger to a boil.
  4. Add the wontons and bok choy to the boiling broth and cook for 5-7 minutes until wontons float and are cooked through.
  5. Remove ginger slices and serve hot.

Notes

Seal wontons tightly to prevent them from opening during cooking. For a vegetarian version, substitute pork with mushrooms.
