Description

A traditional Pakistani dish featuring ground meat cooked with potatoes, spices, and onions for a flavorful, hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped onions and sautΓ© until golden brown.
  4. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
  6. Mix in tomatoes, green chilies, and all spices; cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add diced potatoes and enough water to cover; simmer until potatoes are tender.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.

Notes

For a spicier version, increase the red chili powder. Serve with rice or naan for a complete meal.
