Description

A fresh twist on classic Caprese salad, featuring sweet strawberries, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and a tangy balsamic glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced or pearls
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey or balsamic glaze (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Arrange sliced strawberries and mozzarella on a serving platter, alternating them.
  2. Tuck torn basil leaves between the slices.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and honey (if using).
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a sweeter touch, use a balsamic glaze instead of plain vinegar. This salad is best served fresh.
