  • Author: Chef Lalybeth
  • Total Time: 5 hours
  • Yield: 12 1x

Description

A decadent cheesecake featuring layers of creamy banana filling on a graham cracker crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325Β°F (165Β°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the mashed bananas, vanilla extract, and salt to the cream cheese mixture, and beat until fully incorporated.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  6. Pour the heavy cream into the mixture and stir until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter over the crust in the pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly.
  9. Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool inside with the door slightly open for 1 hour.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

For best results, use ripe bananas and ensure all ingredients are at room temperature before mixing. Chill thoroughly to set the texture.
