- 4 pounds beef brisket
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).
- Season the brisket with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium heat. Sear the brisket on both sides until browned.
- Add onion, garlic, beef broth, and barbecue sauce to the pot.
- Cover and transfer to the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours until tender.
- Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the brisket reaches an internal temperature of 195Β°F.
