Description

Ingredients

  • 4 pounds beef brisket
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).
  2. Season the brisket with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe pot over medium heat. Sear the brisket on both sides until browned.
  4. Add onion, garlic, beef broth, and barbecue sauce to the pot.
  5. Cover and transfer to the oven. Cook for 3-4 hours until tender.
  6. Let rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the brisket reaches an internal temperature of 195Β°F.
