- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season the steak bites with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned.
- Remove steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and mushrooms, cooking for 4-5 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
- Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine, and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Return the steak bites to the skillet and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For a healthier version, use low-fat cream and lean steak cuts. Ensure the steak is at room temperature before cooking for even searing.
