Description

This decadent fudge combines rich caramel and fresh apples for a sweet treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cream, and butter over medium heat.
  2. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches 234Β°F on a candy thermometer.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in diced apples, vanilla extract, and salt.
  4. Pour into a greased 8×8 inch pan and let cool for 2 hours.
  5. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For best results, use fresh, crisp apples and store in an airtight container.
