- 12 ounces spaghetti
- 1 teaspoon salt (for pasta water)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef with diced onion until beef is browned and onion is translucent. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Drain excess grease.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and pour in heavy cream. Stir in Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually add shredded cheddar cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the cheese sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheddar for a smoother sauce. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a slight kick.
