Description

Elegant appetizer skewers combining creamy goat cheese, sweet cherries, honey glaze, and crunchy almonds. Perfect for parties or a light snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted
  • 8 oz goat cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. 1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, mix honey and balsamic vinegar (if using) to create the glaze.
  3. 3. Roll the softened goat cheese into small balls (about 1 tablespoon each).
  4. 4. Thread a cherry onto a skewer, then a goat cheese ball, then another cherry. Repeat for all skewers.
  5. 5. Drizzle the honey glaze over the skewers.
  6. 6. Sprinkle toasted sliced almonds on top. Serve immediately or refrigerate.

Notes

For a sweeter version, use dried cherries. To toast almonds, spread on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 5-7 minutes until golden.
