- 1 cup vegan chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream together the vegan butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the flax egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Ensure the vegan butter is at room temperature for best results. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
