Description

A festive twist on classic lasagna featuring holiday-inspired ingredients like cranberries and spices.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°F.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic until browned; drain fat.
  3. Stir in marinara sauce, cranberries, cinnamon, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. In a baking dish, layer noodles, meat sauce, and cheese; repeat layers.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
  6. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or mushrooms. Prepare ahead and refrigerate overnight for enhanced flavors.
