- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic to the pot; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning; bring to a boil.
- Add the elbow macaroni, reduce heat to low, and simmer covered for 15-20 minutes until pasta is tender.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste; let it sit for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes. Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
