Description

A delicious crispy flatbread topped with creamy brie, tart cranberries, toasted walnuts, and a sweet and spicy hot honey drizzle. Perfect for appetizers or a light meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pre-made flatbread or pizza dough (about 12 inches)
  • 8 oz brie cheese, sliced or torn into pieces
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, roughly chopped and toasted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (or to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the flatbread or rolled-out pizza dough on the prepared baking sheet. Brush with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Arrange the brie pieces evenly over the flatbread.
  4. Sprinkle the dried cranberries and toasted walnuts over the brie.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the flatbread is golden and crispy and the brie is melted and bubbly.
  6. While the flatbread bakes, prepare the hot honey: In a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, warm the honey and stir in the red pepper flakes. Let steep for a few minutes.
  7. Remove the flatbread from the oven and immediately drizzle with the hot honey. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary if desired. Slice and serve warm.

Notes

For extra crunch, toast the walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes before adding. Adjust the spiciness of the hot honey by increasing or decreasing the red pepper flakes. If you prefer a milder flavor, use a smaller amount. Leftover flatbread can be reheated in the oven.
