- 1 store-bought or homemade flatbread (or naan)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- For the Whipped Brie:
- 8 oz brie cheese, rind removed, at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- For the Roasted Strawberries:
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- For the Pistachio Crunch:
- 1/3 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
- For Assembly:
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the roasted strawberries: On a small baking sheet, toss halved strawberries with balsamic vinegar and maple syrup. Roast for 15–20 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized. Set aside.
- Make the whipped brie: In a food processor, combine brie, cream cheese, honey, and black pepper. Pulse until smooth and creamy. Transfer to a bowl.
- Assemble the flatbread: Brush flatbread with olive oil and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 5–7 minutes until edges are golden and crisp.
- Spread whipped brie evenly over hot flatbread.
- Top with roasted strawberries, sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the top.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use a gluten-free flatbread. The whipped brie can be made a day ahead and refrigerated; bring to room temperature before using.
