Description

A creamy slow-cooker chicken dish with Italian flavors, perfect for easy family meals.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet (0.7 oz) Italian dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Pasta or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and white wine if using.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms on top.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
  6. Shred the chicken with forks and stir everything together.
  7. Serve over cooked pasta or rice.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, add a cornstarch slurry at the end. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
