Description

A rich marble cake combining ricotta cheese with double chocolate for a moist and flavorful dessert.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9-inch bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the ricotta cheese and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
  5. Divide the batter into two portions; mix cocoa powder into one portion.
  6. Alternate spooning the plain and chocolate batters into the prepared pan to create a marble effect.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat ricotta and ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.
