These easy red velvet brownies feature layers of rich chocolate brownie infused with red velvet flavor and a creamy cheesecake middle, perfect for a decadent dessert.

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cheesecake layer)
- 1 large egg (for cheesecake layer)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, mix the melted butter and 1 cup sugar until combined. Add 2 eggs, red food coloring, and vanilla extract, then stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1/4 cup sugar until smooth, then add 1 egg and mix well.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the batter, then top with the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
For best results, chill the brownies in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
