A delicious sweet and spicy jam combining fresh strawberries with jalapeños for a unique flavor.

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and finely chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Optional: 1 teaspoon pectin for thicker jam
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped strawberries, jalapeño, sugar, and lemon juice.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the jam thickens and reaches the desired consistency.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Seal the jars and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
Notes
Be careful when handling jalapeños; wear gloves to avoid skin irritation. Adjust spiciness by removing seeds from the jalapeño.
