Description

Sweet and savory appetizer featuring kielbasa sliced hasselback style with pineapple glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage
  • 1 can (20 ounces) pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • Toothpicks for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).
  2. Slice kielbasa into 1/2-inch thick rounds and make hasselback cuts without slicing all the way through.
  3. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard to make a glaze.
  4. Place pineapple chunks between the slices of each kielbasa round.
  5. Brush the glaze over the kielbasa bites.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until browned and heated through.
  7. Serve with toothpicks.

Notes

For a spicier version, add chili flakes to the glaze. Ensure kielbasa is fully cooked before serving.
