Description

Festive cupcakes with red and blue layers topped with whipped cream and berries for a patriotic dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Red food coloring
  • Blue food coloring
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • Fresh strawberries and blueberries for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F and line a cupcake tin with liners.
  2. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Gradually add flour and milk, mixing until smooth.
  5. Divide batter into three parts; color one red and one blue.
  6. Layer the batters in the cupcake liners and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Cool completely, then top with whipped cream and berries.

Notes

Ensure food coloring is gel-based for vibrant colors. Store in an airtight container.
