- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 10 ounces fresh spinach
- Salt to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook, stirring occasionally, until they release their moisture and begin to brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add fresh spinach in handfuls, stirring until wilted before adding more. Continue until all spinach is added and wilted.
- Season with salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Cook for another minute.
- Remove from heat and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, do not overcrowd the pan. Cook mushrooms until golden brown for maximum flavor. This dish is best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
