Description

Delicious meatballs simmered in a sweet and spicy chili sauce, perfect for a hassle-free meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  3. Place the meatballs in the slow cooker.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and ginger.
  5. Pour the sauce over the meatballs.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until meatballs are cooked through.
  7. Stir gently before serving.

Notes

For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the sauce. Serve with rice or as an appetizer.
