Description

A delightful appetizer featuring creamy burrata, sweet strawberries, and a fragrant basil honey drizzle, finished with crunchy pistachios on crispy crostini.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 oz burrata cheese, drained
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Toast for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  2. In a small bowl, combine honey and chopped basil. Let sit for at least 5 minutes to infuse flavor.
  3. Place toasted crostini on a serving platter. Tear or spoon burrata evenly over each slice. Top with sliced strawberries.
  4. Drizzle basil honey over the strawberries and burrata. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios and season with salt and pepper. Optional: add a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

For a variation, use peaches in summer or figs in fall. The basil honey can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
