A delightful appetizer featuring creamy burrata, sweet strawberries, and a fragrant basil honey drizzle, finished with crunchy pistachios on crispy crostini.

- 1 baguette, sliced into 1/2-inch thick rounds
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 oz burrata cheese, drained
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Toast for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- In a small bowl, combine honey and chopped basil. Let sit for at least 5 minutes to infuse flavor.
- Place toasted crostini on a serving platter. Tear or spoon burrata evenly over each slice. Top with sliced strawberries.
- Drizzle basil honey over the strawberries and burrata. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios and season with salt and pepper. Optional: add a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For a variation, use peaches in summer or figs in fall. The basil honey can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to a week.
