Description

This strawberry burrata flatbread is the perfect summer appetizer or light dinner. Topped with creamy burrata, fresh strawberries, a drizzle of balsamic hot honey, and crunchy pistachios.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 piece of naan or flatbread
  • 1 ball of burrata cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for hot honey)
  • Extra virgin olive oil, for brushing
  • Flaky sea salt and black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the flatbread on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Bake for 5 minutes until lightly crisp.
  2. In a small bowl, mix honey, balsamic vinegar, and red pepper flakes to make the balsamic hot honey. Set aside.
  3. Remove the flatbread from the oven. Tear the burrata into pieces and arrange over the flatbread. Top with sliced strawberries and drizzle with the balsamic hot honey.
  4. Return to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes until the burrata is warm and slightly melted.
  5. Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios and fresh basil leaves. Season with flaky salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

You can use gluten-free flatbread if needed. For a milder flavor, skip the red pepper flakes.
