Description

These Ultimate BBQ Baby Back Ribs are slow-cooked to perfection, featuring a smoky rub and a sweet, tangy glaze that makes them irresistibly tender and flavorful.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 pounds total)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (preferably a sweet and tangy variety)
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 275Β°F (135Β°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.
  3. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the racks.
  4. Place the ribs on a large sheet of foil, meaty side up, and wrap them tightly. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
  5. While the ribs are baking, prepare your grill or broiler. In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar.
  6. Remove the ribs from the oven and unwrap them. Brush generously with the BBQ sauce mixture.
  7. Grill the ribs over medium-high heat for 5-10 minutes per side, basting with more sauce, until the exterior is caramelized and slightly charred.
  8. Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before cutting into portions and serving.

Notes

For extra tenderness, marinate the ribs in the dry rub overnight in the refrigerator. Serve with coleslaw and cornbread for a complete meal.
