Description
These Ultimate BBQ Baby Back Ribs are slow-cooked to perfection, featuring a smoky rub and a sweet, tangy glaze that makes them irresistibly tender and flavorful.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 pounds total)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (preferably a sweet and tangy variety)
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 275Β°F (135Β°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to create a dry rub.
- Pat the ribs dry with paper towels and rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the racks.
- Place the ribs on a large sheet of foil, meaty side up, and wrap them tightly. Place on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
- While the ribs are baking, prepare your grill or broiler. In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and unwrap them. Brush generously with the BBQ sauce mixture.
- Grill the ribs over medium-high heat for 5-10 minutes per side, basting with more sauce, until the exterior is caramelized and slightly charred.
- Let the ribs rest for 5 minutes before cutting into portions and serving.
Notes
For extra tenderness, marinate the ribs in the dry rub overnight in the refrigerator. Serve with coleslaw and cornbread for a complete meal.
