A decadent dessert featuring layers of brownie and shortbread topped with rich ganache.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- Ganache: 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add vanilla extract and mix well.
- Gradually add flour and mix to form shortbread dough.
- Press dough evenly into the prepared pan and bake for 20 minutes.
- While baking, prepare brownie layer: Melt chocolate chips and mix with cocoa, eggs, and other ingredients.
- Spread brownie mixture over the baked shortbread and bake for another 20-25 minutes.
- For ganache: Heat cream until simmering, pour over chopped chocolate, and stir until smooth.
- Pour ganache over cooled bars and refrigerate until set.
- Cut into bars and serve.
Notes
Ensure bars are fully cooled before adding ganache to prevent melting. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
