Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add chicken strips and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat.
  5. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  6. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream; simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Serve over egg noodles or rice.
