- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add chicken strips and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
- Add onion, garlic, and mushrooms; cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir to coat.
- Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
- Reduce heat and stir in sour cream; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For a healthier version, use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. Serve over egg noodles or rice.
