- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 3 bananas)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in walnuts. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool before serving.
Notes
For best results, use overripe bananas. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
